I was going to build it last year but decided to wait to see how my work oriented customac build pans out first.

I'm currently just using my old macbook pro hooked up to the tv. I never built it (and never got any replies or advice).

Silverstone ML04B HTPC Case (about 4" tall so might not fit everything) Silverstone GD04B HTPC Case (about 6" tall so should fit everything) Any advice in this would be HUGELY appreciated. Trying to keep costs down while still being powerful enough to do anything. I didn't see any nice looking cases (in my opinion) in the buyers guide so not sure about compatibility or size issues. Nothing too demanding for now but would like the ability to upgrade it in the future if possible. It will mostly be used for watching Plex (server) and Kodi but would also use for some iMovie and iPhoto stuff.
I'm thinking of building something along the lines of a CustoMac Mini but in a nice looking HTPC case. I am a complete noob at this (have no experience building a computer) so I want to keep my first build as basic as possible. Building a CustoMac Hackintosh: Buyer's Guide
